EuchreEuchre is a trick-taking card game played with partners with a deck of 24 cards ranging from 9 to Ace. Around 1860 this game was responsible for introducing the joker to the modern deck of cards. It was used to act as the trump or best bower. The joker is not used in the most common version of the game. It is also believed to be closely related to the French game Ecarte’ that was popularized in the United States by the Cornish and Pennsylvania Dutch. It has long been a popular Indiana and Midwestern game.

The group will meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month in the Meadowood Card Room from 2 – 4 p.m. Please bring a snack to share and your own beverage. You do not need a partner to participate. This group will meet year-round.
